About Phillip “PJ” Petchers

My career path has taken many different twists and turns that have landed me on this wonderful island LBI. I have a BS in Physical Education and Health and worked in education and coaching for my first 10 years after graduating from Montclair State College. I was a camp director and ran my own tennis academy in Livingston, NJ during those years. After deciding that I wanted something different and more challenging I changed career paths and received my real estate license and used car license simultaneously in 2002. I owned and operated a highly successful used car business in Caldwell, NJ…After selling my dealership in 2012, I went to work in upper management at New Car Dealership in Livingston for 8 years until the pandemic hit. During the pandemic, like many others, I decided it was time for a lifestyle change so we purchased a business in LBI. Spray Beach Bagel N Grill. It was life changing in so many ways. During the past Summer, we employed over 20 people and have become one of the hottest breakfast destinations in all of LBI. We also operate an online website that we launched in the spring called Man The Beach. I believe one of my biggest assets besides my ability to communicate with people is that I am extremely process oriented. This is extremely important when it comes to taking a property from sale to close…Nothing feels more complete when you can turn someone’s dream into a reality.
